Being a German Schnitzel I was familiar with Babor already. Having problem skin during puberty I used to get facials at one of their studios. This German brand is known for its natural cosmetics, they use a lot of organic ingredients and are- as all featured brands on our blog cruelty-free. 🙂
Since I have combination skin that can get quite oily I was intrigued to try this Mattifying Foundation. And I’m pleased with how well it keeps my shine free. Yesterday I left the house in a rush and forgot to set my foundation with powder but it kept me almost free of shine throughout the day. The reason I mostly use mineral and powder foundations is that I like to keep my makeup routine simple in the morning and don’t feel like using a liquid foundation as well as a powder- so lazy me tries to combine the two in the form of a mineral foundation. But seeing such great results with this product I am tempted to jump back onto the liquid foundation bandwagon. I got mine in the shade 02 Natural Beige which I can’t currently find on the website (I’ll link shade 03 Almond Beige instead).
Babor was nice enough to mail me their list of products not suitable for vegans and luckily the Mattifying Foundation is not it, therefore vegan. For those of you interested: I will put the list of Babor’s non-vegan products in the comment section.
